Alexander Mitzner is the Head of Investments of JRE Partners. In his current role, Alex manages the JRE investment team and is responsible for sourcing, executing and managing investment opportunities on behalf of the firm and serves on JRE’s Investment Committee. Over his career, Alex has specialized in common equity, preferred equity and mezzanine debt transactions targeting value-added and opportunistic U.S. real estate investment strategies. Alex previously served as a senior investment officer at Junius Real Estate Partners, where he joined at its inception in 2011. Prior to Junius, Alex was a vice president in the New York office of Clarion Partners, one of the largest real estate investment managers in the United States. During his time at Clarion, Alex led and assisted in real estate investments on behalf of the firm’s opportunistic fund series and a large separate account. Prior to Clarion, Alex worked in commercial brokerage at CBRE for three years covering the downtown Washington, D.C. office market. Alex holds a B.S.B.A. in Finance from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
